Overview:
This catalog was created for the Metromohiem Museum to spotlight the work of a featured artist in their seasonal exhibit. Aimed at an audience of researchers, curators, and serious art enthusiasts, the catalog provides in-depth insights into the artist’s collection, including detailed descriptions and statements. Available in both digital and print formats, it serves as an accessible and informative resource for the museum’s academic and professional visitors.
A hybrid of manuscript and modular grids was used to establish structure while allowing flexibility across digital and print platforms. The digital version employs RGB at 72 ppi for optimized screen viewing, while the print version uses CMYK for color accuracy. The layout emphasizes flow and balance, with an asymmetrical composition that pairs portrait images with text, achieving visual appeal and organization. Repetitive elements—such as a consistent image-title-description sequence—create a rhythm that guides viewers through each page, while careful scaling highlights larger sculptures to convey their spatial presence.
